Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park preserves the birthplace, boyhood home, ranch and family cemetery of the 36th President of the United States. President Johnson had a deep attachment for place and heritage. In this photo, I wanted to capture the alluring essence of the Johnson Family Settlement and the rural, agricultural setting that has existed for generations. My hope is that the viewer feels the tranquility of the pasture and the peaceful wildness that remains to this day.
