For the past 12 years I have been bike commuting to work. I love leaving my car at home while I get fresh air, exercise and enjoy the park I work in. This past October I was riding into work just as the sun was rising in the east. I was riding past the Culp Pasture when the ground fog combined with the sunrise to produce a magical moment. The serenity of the dawn stood in stark contrast to the intense fighting that took place on Culp's Hill on July 2, 1863. I felt lucky to live and work here.
