Islands in the Clouds. The tops of Fire Mountain (6834'), at center, float like islands above the clouds that blanket most of our sight area early one morning before work. El Capitan (9925'), on the horizon, dominates this part of the Bitterroot Range. This image was taken from Spot Mountain Lookout with a Nikon D810 and Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8. 9/10/19.
